Paul,
I think all you proposals about the blog are good, however I take exception to the comment “The blog is not a place to conduct debates about the church.” I think we need to do some debating, although I prefer the term discussion. I’ve told Carol I have a personal mission to promote progressive Christianity.
At this time, I’m not sure what progressive Christianity is. I hope to explore this in the blog with other pilgrims within and without our church. I also want to write about my dual membership in Pilgrim Lutheran Church and Clouds in Water Zen Buddhist Center. It’s all part of my idea of progressive Chrisitianity. The thing is, there are many people like me, who found the Christianity of our childhoods suffocating, but as we grew up, have missed it.
It takes us by surprise and we need each other to explore this. We also need churches like Pilgrim. So I think this kind of writing belongs on Pilgrim’s outreach blog. I’m here, I’m churched, and I’m talking.

I like Reva I take exception to the comment “The blog is not a place to conduct debates about the church.” I to think we need to do some debating ” And not just the “Church” Big C but little c as in Pilgrim.
